Photos from Easter meeting 12.05.2019

On 12th of May during Mother’s Day Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) has organized an “Easter meeting” in Tallinn.

Among the guests were members of Estonian clergy and monasticism, political-, social- and cultural activists, as well as members of Ukrainian society and members of the parish of our church from entire Estonia.

The event has started with the greeting speeches by Apostolic Administrator in Estonia bishop Philippe Jourdan, pastor for Greek Catholic Ukrainians in Estonia father Roman Kikh, plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia Mariana Bets and member of riigikogu (Estonian Parliament) Tarmo Kruusimäe.

During the speaches there was a special focus on importance of unity, support of each other and collaboration with the aim of developing our society, where everyone would feel equality and importance.

During the event the guests had a chance to enjoy beautiful music and vocal by Olena Brazhnyk, Oksana Sinkova and vocal ensemle „Wings“ consisting of Lubov Laur, Olena Duminika, and Ludmila Gramyak.

Also Estonian guests have been introduced Ukrainain Easter traditions. The audience could observe the collection of pysankas (Ukrainian colored eggs) from Church’s collection, exposition of paintings of Ukrainian artist Dmytro Dobrovolsky and pupils of the weekend school “Nadiya”, photo exposition showing the living of Tallinn’s parish of UGCC.

During the buffet time all guests had a chance to get to know each other, socialize, and get to know more about the activity of UGCC in Estonia.

In the end of the event a traditional Ukrainian Easter basket has been drawn among all the guests, which ended up being sent to Tartu.
